You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.

Nutrition and Chinese Herbs

The formulation of entirely personalized nutritional formulas sets Traditional Chinese Medicine apart from Western pharmaceutical medicine. Every dietary recommendation and blend of herbs caters to the specific pattern imbalances and needs of each patient. To accommodate such a broad scope of needs, formulations can include as many as twelve different herbs and take any form, such as powders, syrups, teas and plasters. Supplement recommendations may also be suggested and incorporated into the protocol.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion

These practices use specific placement of needles for acupuncture, heat for moxibustion and negative pressure for cupping, to provide relief for a variety of ailments as well as contribute to an overall balanced state of being. The fundamental networks of energy flow in the body, or meridians, inform the placement of the healing materials in each treatment.

Exercise and Meditation

Physical exercise keeps the vital life force energy, or qi (pronounced chi), flowing freely in the body. Qi gong and Tai chi are just two of several forms of mindful movement we can use to heal and strengthen ourselves emotionally and spiritually as well as physically.

Reflexology

Body work performed by a Board Certified reflexologist uses pressure on the hands, feet, face or ears to clear channels of blocked energy and move the flow of blood and nutrients to assist in areas of pain or stress. Repeated sessions, either weekly or biweekly, are most effective in restoring balance and improving the overall health of the body.

Feng Shui

Arranging our physical space to establish peaceful, freely flowing energy creates harmony and balance in our body, mind and spirit. While feng shui in the U.S. was a fad for a while, it is a fundamental art in China that has been practiced for thousands of years. Based on the Chinese system of geometric spaces, feng shui is not just about the placement of furniture, and other objects in a space, but the change in perspective that follows from a mindful shift in environment. Decluttering, cleaning windows, and improving the air quality are just a few other ways to bring harmony into the home.
